Fitness Tracker fails to connect over BT

My Garmin F3HR and Jawbone UP3 are paired over Bluetooth with a BLU Life Max Android phone. Both the Garmin Connect and UP apps will fail to connect over Bluetooth when the phone and app have been running for more than 12 hours. Fix using the following steps:

  1. Put phone into airplane mode
  2. Settings => App => [UP or Connect] => Force Stop
  3. Disable airplane mode
  4. Enable WiFi & Bluetooth
  5. Start UP App
